Cyndi's List -- A valuable resource to genealogists for since March of 1996, Cyndi's List has over 337,000 links related to all-things genealogy. Founded by Cyndi Howells, her site is free for anyone to use and is regularly being updated.
Libraries -- Often times, public libraries have resources and holdings that many people aren't aware of! If you're stuck or have hit a brick wall with your research, consider contacting the library of the city or town that you are researching. New England Historical Genealogical Society a.k.a. American Ancestors -- Founded in 1845 and located on 99-101 Newbury Street in Boston, NEHGS is one of the largest genealogical institutions in New England. Containing a wide variety of holdings ranging from local, national, and international, NEHGS is sure to put you on the right track with your research!
Afro-American Historical and Genealogical Society -- Founded in 1977 by a group of people in Washington D. C., AAHGS works in preserving African American genealogy, cultural diversity and genealogical information nationwide. AAHGS' New England Chapter can be found in Stoughton.
Back Roads of the South Shore -- Self-described as "a collaboration of historical organizations operating important historic sites in many towns along the South Shore of Massachusetts" with a dedication to "creating an awareness of the area’s historic gems and celebrating the heritage and spirit of the region."
Dyer Memorial Library -- Established in 1930 by Marietta White Dyer for the purpose of "establishing free public access to an historical and biographical library in the town of Abington, Massachusetts." Collections at this library focus on local histories with a concentration on materials by and about people connected to the area known as Old Abington (Abington, Rockland and Whitman). In addition, library holdings at Dyer include books, manuscripts, maps, microfilms, photographs, artifacts, among many others.
LDSGenealogy -- Founded in 2008, Jeniann Nielsen, President of LDS Genealogy, describes the website as being "dedicated to helping families find their ancestors through our extensive records directory and genealogy articles. This site is privately owned and is not an official site of FamilySearch International or The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS)."
